Eddies Lebanese Eatery @ Mortdale

Eddie's is a hidden gem within the St George area, it's our go to place for quality Lebanese food, festive seasons and birthday celebrations. Service is always impeccable, Eddie, the owner is always around greeting each table, going that extra mile, you'll feel right at home.

Vegetarian Mixed Platter $28
Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Tabouli, Falafel, Chargrilled eggplant, Cheese Sambousik and Spinach Triangle + Lebanese Bread

The dips are among the best I've had in Sydney, I've been to Glebe and tried the high end, expensive Lebanese restaurants where they charge $20 for a dip. Eddie's dips are better. Falafels are premium, not the mush with more chickpea mush I usually get from Cafes. These are crunchy with a smooth texture. I think they cook their eggplants with garlic butter or garlic sauce... garlic something... what ever it is, it's amazing. Can't go wrong with spinach triangles. As for the sambousik, its quite nice, except there's not enough cheese filling, the inside of my sambousik was almost hollow. Oh and there needs to be more pickle in the platter, my partner and I ended up fighting over pickles.

This platter is usually enough for the two of us...but we decided to be greedy and ordered another dish.

Chargrilled Marinated Baby Octopus $19
I'm gonna do a Kayne and Imma let you finish but Eddie's has one of the best marinated Baby Octopuses of all time. ONE OF THE BEST BABY OCTOPUSES OF ALL TIME.

Tender baby octopus and again, that garlic butter sauce nailed this dish. This is a must-have when you visit Eddie's!
